A dynamic Horn Duo, Jason and Jake travel around on their trusty Dooter Scooter far and wide to play with bands in need.
What do these bands need? They need horns…. because everything is better with horns.
Bringing a groovy flare, the Half-Baked Horns are sure to tear the house down with their old school dance moves, tight horn playing, and a legendary Cheetah fit.
As a couple of Music School Graduates, Jason and Jake created the brand with the mission of taking the music seriously, but NOT taking ourselves seriously. After all the music is ALL about the listener and we want our listeners to dance, have fun, and enjoy the music.
We specialize in a variety of musical genres, including Rock’n’roll, Blues, Funk, Soul, and even Jazz.
We provide a live music service to other bands, where we can complement your existing setlist of music, bring in additional prospective fans to your gig, and engage with the audience in way that captivates and entertains.
We also provide studio musician services where we can compose, arrange, and record for you next original or cover music project.

We get this quite a bit. We are indeed a real thing. Just a couple of interstellar Dooters in the business of Dooting.

What the hell do they mean by Dooters?
Jason plays the trumpet and Jake plays the alto/tenor saxophone. Doots. Dooters. Dooting. Doots.

That’s cool that they work with other bands but do they have original music?
At the moment we focus on playing with other groups, with the ultimate goal of funding a fully original instrumental funk album. We currently use this business model to help raise awareness and capital for a future project. We also sell merchandise as well, and those funds go directly to helping to fund our album.
How many bands do they currently work with?
We have quite a bit of work on the Rhode Island and Massachusetts music scene. We currently play with 1 rock’n'roll band, 1 funk/soul band, and 1 original folk-rock band. We also pick up gigs with touring acts passing through the New England region including up and coming blues man D.K Harrell as well as Experience Janis, a Janis Joplin Tribute Band. We also pick up work for studio projects for various small local bands.
